At 14, he produced his first show raising £10,000 for Charity. At 15 he launched Make Believe starting with five students. The company now teaches thousands around the world. In recognition of Joel’s achievements, the Federation of Small Business chose him as the South East Region Young Entrepreneur of 2014. A purpose driven, ideas enthusiast who believes that with a dream and a focus, anything is possible!

About Ashleagh

Ashleagh’s journey with Make Believe started at 14 years old when she attended our school in Leytonstone. She went on to study at one of the most prestigious arts universities in the world before working her way up through a variety of industries including retail and design. She has since returned to her original love, the performing arts and now oversees the operational aspects of the company’s brands. Ashleagh’s passion for young people to succeed is her focus and is what drives her to do the great work that she does.

Ollie heads the talent arm of the Make Believe group of companies. Starting his career as an actor and landing some impressive roles, he decided to move into casting. Ollie has been responsible for representing clients across a variety of media including; The National Theatre, The Young Vic and Disney. With a background in business relations, branding and marketing, Ollie’s combined skillset and passion enables him to support every young people on their journey and career within the arts.

About Emma

After graduating from one of the industry’s top colleges, Emma landed a lead role in Make Believe’s off West End production of Annie. This was the start of her journey within the company. As the second longest standing member of the team, Emma has worked in a variety of roles from teaching to leading six sites with thousands of students. Emma was made the assistant choreographer of the production division ahead of being promoted to one of the companies top artistic positions, as Creative Director. Emma’s infectious and bubbly personality has enabled her to excel across a variety of areas. Her passion for what she does is reflected in the work that she produces and the respect that the students have for Emma is a reciprocation of her dedication to each of them.
