Hello and a warm welcome to your local theatre school, Make Believe Colchester. I'm Emma Dean the Principal of Make Believe Colchester. When you come down for your free trial expect to learn new skills, boost your confidence and most importantly have fun! Whether you love street dance, drama classes or musical theatre as a whole, Make Believe Colchester has something for you. There are thousands of performing arts schools throughout the country and we are extremely lucky to have such fantastic staff choosing to work for us who captivate children’s attention, and develop and enhance their skills in the performing arts. For children variation is key, so we cover all types of extracurricular learning styles such as theatre workshops, choreography classes, vocal lessons, musical theatre production and much more. Don’t take our word for it – ask one of the three and a half thousand children that just love Make Believe!
I loved performing there a few years back! Well.. more than I want to admit! Bloomsbury first for Bugsy Malone! Then the Shaw Theatre for Fame then the Novello for OMG and then the Stratford Circus for Quality street! Good times! Miss it so much want to get back into it! Maybe even have my own Make Believe!

Fantastic memories that will last a lifetime, Morgan & Scarlett loved their time at Make Believe and also helped us through a bad time in our lives, it gave Morgan the opportunity to live her dream so much so that she’s still doing it at 18 and for many more years to come, without you all believing in her I don’t think she’d be where she is today!

From doing MB Annie, Bugsy Malone and then Fame, it actually gave me the confidence to do my Musical Theatre singing exams. Honestly, it gave me so much confidence!
