Megan Carton

Megan hails from Mullingar, Ireland, and began her journey in the Performing Arts there from a young age. She studied Dance and Musical Theatre at Energy Plus Studios, Classical Singing under Dervla Conlon, and Acting at the Gaiety School of Acting. She later went on to study full-time at Musical Theatre Ireland, and then in the U.K. at the Centre Performing Arts College, where she gained a Diploma in Theatre Performance. She has always been a passionate teacher alongside performing, and has 10+ years of experience passing on her knowledge to young people of all ages. From newborn to SEN, to University level, she’s taught them all. Megan’s professional Theatre credits include: Jennifer in When Midnight Strikes (Irish Premier), Demeter & Jennyanydots in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s CATS, and Ger in Sisters (A New Irish Musical). In addition, she has directed a number of self-written concerts and children‘s theatre productions. Megan believes firmly that every child deserves the opportunity to have a great education in the performing arts; to have fun learning skills they can transfer to every aspect of life, and also to have the foundation to pursue the arts as a career if they wish. She says ‘’our ethos here is about providing a space in the community for children push the boundaries of what they think they’re capable of - while being their own silly selves. It is incredible what children can achieve when they’re given the right tools, environment, and encouragement.’’ We can’t wait to welcome you and your child to the Make Believe family!
