More human. More confident. More connected.

When I look back at how Make Believe started, it’s quite hard to put into words what it has become.

What began as a small idea… has grown into something far bigger than I ever imagined.

Not just a place where children come to sing, dance and act…

But a community.
A feeling.
A place where something shifts.

Every child has a talent.

Nurtures confidence and creativity

A place to be seen and heard

The Joy of Performance

We started Make Believe to teach children life skills through the joy of performance.

And whilst it’s always been incredible to see students go on to the West End or into film and television…

That was never the only goal.

Because just as powerful…

Is the child who finds their voice.
The child who grows in confidence.
The child who begins to believe in themselves.

is often misunderstood.

It’s not about applause.

It’s not about perfection.

It’s not about the spotlight.

WHAT WE'VE SEEN

Over the past 20+ years, we’ve seen that belief come to life in so many different ways.

From the West End…to the classroom…to everyday life.

Different journeys.

Different paths.

But they all started in the same place.

With someone being given the chance to step forward…
and be seen.

Different journeys.

Different paths.

But they all started in the same place.

With someone being given the chance to step forward…
and be seen.

AT THE HEART OF IT ALL

When you give someone that space, something changes.

They stand taller.
They speak more clearly.
They carry themselves differently.

That belief…

is the Joy of Performance.

And it sits at the heart of everything we do.

Make Believe

has always been a labour of love.

Built on people.
On belief.
On moments that stay with you long after the music stops.

Because at its core, this has always been about one simple idea:

That nothing is unreachable… when someone is given the chance to shine.

And through everything we do, we aim to inspire our students
to reach for their previously unreachable star.

Here’s to the dreams yet to be realised,
the talents yet to be discovered,
and the stories yet to be told.
