Hello and a warm welcome to Make Believe Rotherhithe. I am Alastair Natkiel – Principal of your local Make Believe Theatre School.
I am an actor myself and have appeared in numerous television and stage productions, including; Line of Duty, Casualty, Hollyoaks and Shrek The Musical.
I know how hard performers have to work to achieve success. However I also know it’s much easier to work hard and improve when you are enjoying yourself. So I encourage our students to strive to be the best they can be but, most importantly, enjoy every minute.
I ensure our team not only have fantastic teaching experience but, like me, are actively working within the industry. I believe it’s a real privilege for the kids to learn from a group of teachers who are experienced (and exceptional!) performers themselves.
Our classes work wonders for confidence and self-esteem and we will inspire your children to make the most of their passion for performing arts, giving them the opportunity to have fun amongst new friends and to: Learn. Perform. Achieve.

I loved performing there a few years back! Well.. more than I want to admit! Bloomsbury first for Bugsy Malone! Then the Shaw Theatre for Fame then the Novello for OMG and then the Stratford Circus for Quality street! Good times! Miss it so much want to get back into it! Maybe even have my own Make Believe!

From doing MB Annie, Bugsy Malone and then Fame, it actually gave me the confidence to do my Musical Theatre singing exams. Honestly, it gave me so much confidence!
